Shipping & Delivery Policy
This Shipping and Delivery Policy explains how services are fulfilled by CHHAKDAWALA and its affiliates (collectively "CHHAKDAWALA, we, our, us") through our platform https://chhakdawala.com. Since we operate as a transport and logistics service provider (and not an e-commerce store shipping physical goods via third-party couriers), "Shipping and Delivery" refers to the fulfillment of the transport services booked through our application.
By booking a vehicle or using our transport services, you agree to the delivery terms outlined below.
Service Delivery & Fulfillment
Our service delivery is considered initiated when a verified driver accepts your booking and arrives at your designated pickup location. The service is considered fully delivered and completed once the driver safely transports your goods to the specified drop-off location and the trip is marked as completed within the application.
The customer or their authorized representative must be present at both the pickup and drop-off locations to facilitate the loading and unloading of goods. We do not provide packaging services; all goods must be properly packed by the customer prior to the vehicle's arrival.
Booking Timeframes
We offer two types of service fulfillment:
- Instant Booking: The nearest available vehicle will be dispatched immediately. Estimated arrival times at the pickup location will be displayed in the app, but are subject to real-time traffic and weather conditions.
- Scheduled Booking: You may schedule a vehicle for a future date and time. The driver will attempt to arrive at the pickup location at the scheduled time. We recommend scheduling time-sensitive transports well in advance.
Geographic Service Area
We currently provide transport and logistics services only within specific operational cities and states within India (primarily Gujarat). If a pickup or drop-off location falls outside our active service zones, the application will notify you that the service is unavailable in that area.
Delays, Breakdowns, and Force Majeure
While we strive to ensure timely pickup and drop-off, the actual delivery time of your goods may be impacted by unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to severe weather, heavy traffic, road closures, or vehicle breakdowns.
In the event of a vehicle breakdown during transit, we will make our best effort to assign a replacement vehicle to complete the trip as quickly as possible. CHHAKDAWALA is not liable for any indirect losses or damages caused by such delays.
Restricted and Prohibited Items
Our drivers reserve the right to refuse pickup or delivery of certain goods. You strictly agree not to use our platform to transport illegal items, hazardous materials, explosives, flammable liquids, live animals, unaccounted cash, or any goods prohibited by the laws of India.
If a driver discovers prohibited items, the trip will be immediately cancelled, and local law enforcement may be notified.
